Meeting, Garden Room, 14 Jan 2014

Welcome back for the first meeting of the New Year.   The meeting will include the results of the members’ Christmas exercise (6 photos on one theme), and also an introduction to some of the image editing software available.

The exercise is as follows:
– Select a subject – this could be an item, a particular location, etc. The choice of subject is entirely up to you.
– Take a series of images, using different viewpoints, or different apertures, different focal lengths, etc. Once again, totally your choice how you take the pictures.
– Select your best six images on your chosen subject, and bring them along on a memory stick for tonight’s meeting.

Meeting, Deall Room, 29 Oct 2013

More in-depth information and instruction regarding the settings of your cameras and the results you get, covering such topics as depth of field, which f-stop to use, shutter speeds, composition, ISO settings, white balance, and anything else we can squeeze in.

Meeting, Deall Room, 01 Oct 2013

More in-depth information and instruction regarding the settings of your cameras and the results you get, covering such topics as depth of field, which f-stop to use, shutter speeds, composition, ISO settings, white balance, and anything else we can squeeze in.

This week we will be concentrating on aperture settings and the effects that can be gained, along with shutter speeds and depth of field.

There will be an exercise for you to try in the following 2 weeks, to put what you learn from tonight’s meeting into practice, so please bring your note pads.

You do not need to bring your camera along to this meeting unless you want some 1:1 advice.
