Practical OFFSITE evening – Night shots, light trails, star bursts and reflections. Weather dependent, location to be advised nearer the time, but likely to be Shoreham town centre.
📷 Don’t forget to bring your camera, also tripod, spare battery, remote shutter release if you have them! 📷
Practical – Studio session with lights and model
📷 Don’t forget to bring your camera along! 📷
Come along for full access to the Lifeboat station AND a trip out on the Lifeboat.
Time: Meet at 1700BST for launch at 1800BST. Please do NOT be late, the launch of the lifeboat will NOT wait for you!
Location: Shoreham Lifeboat Station by the Lighthouse
Equipment: Cameras and weather covers if you have them (it will almost certainly be WET). A clear plastic bag is an alternative to a weather cover if you don’t have one (and very much preferable to a soggy camera!). Full wet weather clothing, including boots, will be provided by the Lifeboat station.
Please consider making a charitable donation to the Lifeboat appeal on the night.
Tuesday 6th May 2014 (please note we do not have a normal meeting this night due to non-availability of the room… the next meeting is Tuesday 13th May which is Trevor Gellard’s LRPS return visit) – A visit to Shoreham Harbour at night for the chance to take some pre-sunset and total night shots.
Time to meet: 1900BST.
Location: Bottom car park, entry beside the Harbour Offices on the seafront in Southwick, approximately 200 yards to the west of Southwick Street by the crossing.
Equipment to bring with you: Cameras, tripods, and shutter release cable.
A visit to Petworth Park to try to photograph the annual deer rut.
Meet in the North Car Park at 08:15am, to take advantage of the rising sun and hopefully some atmospheric mist. The car park is located about 3/4 mile north of Petworth on the A283. (Please note that car parking charges apply for non-National Trust members.)
Please bring a packed lunch or other refreshments, since we don’t know how long we will be there; we might even go on somewhere else afterwards.
Please note that this is NOT a formal outing!
Car-sharing is recommended, if you are willing to take passengers, please let one of the committee know at the next official meeting, or email email@example.com to let us know where you are travelling from, and how many spare seats you have. We would naturally hope that the passengers would contribute towards fuel costs.
You should prepare for the weather and dress in dark/dull (not bright) clothing. Bring the longest lens that you have (as well as shorter lenses, naturally!) and a tripod/monopod if you possess one.
